Job: Faculty Position in Games (tenure/tenure-track) at North Carolina State

The Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University (NCSU) seeks to fill a tenure/tenure track faculty position in computer games starting in August of 2015. The Department is seeking a faculty member with a Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field who will establish a vigorous research and teaching program in computer games. Applicants at all levels (assistant, associate, and full professor) and in all areas of computational games research are encouraged to apply.

CfP: CHI2015 Workshop – Crossing Domains: Diverse Perspectives on Players

HCI involves diverse fields, all of which have differing approaches to players, experience, and the impacts of games on players. For example: User Research, Sociology, Psychology, Interaction Design, etc. This one-day workshop co-located with CHI 2015 (http://chi2015.acm.org/) in Seoul, South Korea, brings together researchers and practitioners from such interdisciplinary fields to critically discuss how diverse conceptions and treatments of players converge and differentiate within the broader community, across both academic and industry settings.
